KARACHI, July 23: Data Steel retained the ninth Yousuf Dada bridge tournament in a superb fashion by mustering 136 victory points (VPs) at the Aslam Memorial Bridge Hall on Sunday.

Data Steel, with Rashid-ul-Ghazi, Pervez Mirza, Tehsin Gheewala, Imran Jaka and Tariq Rasheed Khan in their fold, demonstrated fine bidding in all seven rounds to emerge as winners in the 15-team competition.

Candyland having services of Mohammad Ismail-Mubashir Puri, Hamed Mohiuddin-Ziaullah Baig, Khaled Mohiuddin and Hasan Askari, occupied second position with 125 VPs.

The national team, Inbox, playing without experienced A. R. Allana and Javed Miran, and relying on Kemal Shoaib and Khurshid Hadi, scored 122 VPs for third place.—APP
