LONDON, July 23: Britain’s foreign secretary David Miliband in his first outing after taking over the new post in Gordon Brown’s government will be visiting Pakistan this week on his way to Afghanistan.
He would probably be the first high profile foreign personality to meet President Pervez Musharraf after the general had suffered what is seen as a serious blow to his power and moral authority to rule following the Supreme Court’s decision to restore the Chief Justice.—Special Correspondent
