13 seminary students sent to Adiala jail

RAWALPINDI, July 23: Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) No 2 Judge Sakhi Mohammad Kahot on Monday sent 13 students of Jamia Fareedia to Adiala jail on judicial remand for 12 days in the murder of a ranger while one was remanded in police custody for three days.

The judge remanded Mohammad Hayat in police custody for three days in a murder case registered with Aabpara police station. He sent Fidaullah, another seminary student, to jail on 12-day judicial remand in the Chinese abduction case registered with Margalla police station.

However, the judge discharged six students in the CDs burning case registered with Bhara Kahu police station and four others in the Chinese kidnapping case.

Those who were discharged from CDs burning case are Majeed Rehman, Sharif Khan, Abdul Rehman, Zahidur Rehman, Muzammal and Mohammad Nizam, and Mohammad Waqar, Mohammad Sohail, Mohammad Naveed and Mohammad were discharged from Chinese kidnapping case.

The names of those who were sent to jail are Mujibur Rehman, Mohammad Beg, Saeed, Maqsood Akbar, Ansar Shah, Abdul Qayyum, Mohammad Asif, Riaz Ahmed, Fidaullah, Nazakat Ali, Abdul Latif, Mohammad Ishaq and Nadeem Iqbal.
