Two leaders of JUI-F resign

By Our Correspondent

SWABI, July 23: Two local leaders of the Jamait Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) on Monday tendered their resignation from the party in protest against silence of their party leaders on the Lal Masjid operation.

Sherin Bahadar and Sherzada said that they were shocked at the silence of their party over the massacre of hundreds of innocent students during the military operation.

They said that children were brutally killed but the leaders of the religious parties failed to come forward and raise voice against the bloodshed.

They said that the religious leadership disappointed people during the Lal Masjid stalemate. They said that it was difficult for them to remain in the party as it failed in resolving the Lal Masjid issue and raising voice against the brutality of the rulers.
