NAWABSHAH: Woman, two daughters die as wall collapses

NAWABSHAH, July 23: A woman and her two daughters were killed when wall of their house collapsed in village Chhappar Khan Khoso near Sakrand, on Monday. Reports said that Shahzadi Khatoon, 25, wife of Mohammad Din Khoso, received serious injuries while her daughters Mahnoor, 6, and Shahgul, 3, died on the spot when the wall collapsed.

The woman was taken to Taluka Hospital Sakrand where doctors pronounced her dead.

Reports said that walls of the house have been weakened due to water logging and salination in the village.

No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, three persons killed and two others, including a woman, were injured in a firing incident in Nau Goth, in the jurisdiction of A-section police station Sukkur, late on Sunday night.

According to details, two brothers, Mohammad Ayub Khan, 23, and Abdullah Khan, 21, and their cousin Nawab Khan, 25, were killed on the spot while Naurang Khan and Ms Sania received serious injuries when some men broke into their house and opened fire on them.

The assailants managed to escape.

The injured have been admitted to Civil Hospital Sukkur.

A-section police booked Bismillah Khan in two separate cases under section 302 QSS.

Police sources said that the suspect was a cousin of the deceased and had some old family dispute with them.

12 BOOKED: Nawabshah police on Friday booked 12 persons for firing at a police party.

No arrest was made till the filing of this report.
