KARACHI: Completion of water projects

KARACHI, July 23: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad on Monday called for the implementation of all schemes for the supply of drinking water across the province, and impressed upon the elected representatives from Karachi the need for monitoring the progress of such projects.

He observed that consumption of contaminated water was mainly responsible for the spread of waterborne diseases and, therefore, ensuring supply of safe water was one step towards protecting people from such diseases.

The governor made these observations at a meeting at the Governor’s House held to review the ongoing water supply projects.—APP
