KARACHI: Rs42.8m uplift projects for Gadap Town planned


KARACHI, July 22: Gadap Town acting Nazim Abdul Sattar Brohi has said that the town administration will soon initiate various development projects at a cost of Rs42.8 million.

He was talking to area people while inspecting the ongoing development projects in the town. He said planning has been finalised for commencing work on various development schemes.

TMO Ashfaq Mallah, TO Infrastructure Nafees Shaikh, TO Finance Khan Mohammad Malik and TO Municipal Regulation Anwar Ali Gadaro accompanied the acting nazim.

Mr Brohi said the work on installation of street lights, laying of water supply and sewerage lines, construction and renovation of roads, parks and CC flooring would be started soon.

He pointed out that work is already under way on a number of uplift projects worth millions of rupees for the development of the town.

He said Gadap Town is the only town which has allocated 73 per cent of its budget for development works in order to bring the town at par with the developed areas of the city.

Ambulance centre in Malir

Malir Town Nazim Ansar Ahmed Sheikh said on Sunday that work on an ambulance centre and morgue in the town is 95 per cent complete and the centre would be operational soon.

He said this while inspecting road construction work at the venue of the centre being built near Kala Board. He directed officials to complete the work in the stipulated time.

He said that the town administration was making hectic efforts to resolve the people’s problems.—APP\PPI
