NAWABSHAH: Young girl gang-raped

NAWABSHAH, July 22: A young girl was allegedly gang-raped in Mitha Khan Rahu Village near Qazi Ahmed on Sunday.

Father of the girl, Abdul Rehman Rahu, lodged a complaint with the Qazi Ahmed police, stating that three people, namely Ghulam Nabi, Shaukat and Deedar (all Rahu by caste) broke into his house and got hold of his 18-year-old daughter, tied her with ropes, gang-raped her and fled. Qazi Ahmed Police after receiving the complaint issued a letter for medical check-up of the girl.

A formal FIR would be lodged after receipt of the medical report, Head Munshi of the Qazi Ahmad police said.

He further said that the victim and the accused were residents of same village. He further said that accused Shaukat and Deedar were in police custody.

EMERGENCY LANDING: A Quetta-bound flight of Shaheen Airways from Lahore, made an emergency landing at the Nawabshah airport on Sunday due to inclement weather in Quetta. The flight carrying 116 passengers left for Lahore after three hours as the weather in Quetta did not improve.
