Robbers injure three


LAHORE, July 21: Robbers shot at and injured three people, including a woman, on resistance in separate incidents in the city on Saturday. Three robbers injured a woman and took away her cell phone and cash at a clinic in Factory Area. Reports said Amna Rafeeq was sitting at a clinic on Ghazi Road when three armed men came there and demanded cash and cell phone from her. On resistance, they fired three shots at her and left with cash and cell phone they snatched from her.

She was taken to the Lahore General Hospital where she was being operated upon till our going into press.

Three robbers shot at a citizen on resistance in Shadman. Nasir told police that he returned from a general store at Shadman Market after purchasing some sugar and as soon as he sat in his car, three armed men came there and demanded cash and cell phone.

As he put up resistance, the robbers opened fire on him leaving him injured. They took away his cell phone. Nasir was taken to the Jinnah Hospital.

Saleem, a resident of Manawala, was returning home after making some purchase from Hall Road when two armed men stopped him in Lorry Adda police precinct and demanded cash and valuables. On resistance, they shot at him and escaped empty-handed. The injured was driven to the Mayo Hospital in critical situation. —Staff Reporter
