Lawyers vow to continue struggle

RAWALPINDI, July 21: The local lawyers on Saturday celebrated the historic verdict of the Supreme Court restoring Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry with distribution of sweets and vowed to continue their struggle till return of ‘real democracy’ in Pakistan.

During a meeting of the Rawalpindi District Bar Association here, speakers expressed their resolve to finish military rule in the country.

The meeting was chaired by Lahore High Court Bar Association President Sardar Asmatullah.

While speaking on the occasion, he said that lawyers would carry on their ‘public awareness campaign’ so that there is democracy and rule of law in the country.—A Reporter
