THATTA: Hashish found in lock-up

THATTA, July 21: The Judicial Magistrate of Thatta, Jehangir Khan, paid a surprise visit to the judicial lock-up, seized hashish from possession of a prisoner Asif Pathan and ordered registration of a case against the prisoner, a police constable and a cook, here on Saturday. The raid was conducted on the directive of the District and Session Judge, Thatta.

The prisoner from whom the hashish was recovered, confessed before the magistrate that PC Mohammad Hassan Chehwan deputed as guard at the lock-up and a cook identified as Anwar, were involved in supply of the contraband item to the prisoners.—BoC
