LAHORE, July 20: Heightened security was witnessed in the Lahore High Court on Friday as law-enforcers strictly monitored movement of people on the premises.
It was perhaps for the first time since its construction, Friday prayers were not allowed at the mosque located on the LHC premises.
At all entry gates of the LHC building, the security staff frisked the entrants while the people moving in various corridors of the building also were stopped and put to body search.
The Lahore High Court Bar Association offices’ exit towards Shah Chiragh mosque was also closed and those wishing to offer prayers there had to take a long route from The Mall.
