KARAK, July 20: The Karak Tehsil Nazim on Friday presented Rs16.1 million annual budget for 2007-08. Tehsil Nazim Abdur Rehman Khattak said that Rs4 million had been set aside for development projects while funds amounting to Rs12.1 million had been earmarked for non-development expenditure.

He said that Rs9.5 million had been allocated for the TMA employees’ salaries, while Rs 0.1 million would go to the retired servants’ pension. Abdur Rehman said that Rs2.7 million were allocated for new projects and set aside for Rs300,000 for ongoing schemes.

He said that Rs2.2 million were set aside for repairing damaged water supply lines, while Rs300,000 for advertisements of project contracts.
