KARACHI, July 19: The provincial education department on Thursday notified that all the public and private schools would open a week before the previous deadline.
Sindh Education Secretary Sabhago Khan Jatoi told Dawn that the chief minister had assented to the summary sent to him by the education authorities and ordered reopening of all public and private schools on Aug 9.
He said the summary had been prepared to ensure that all schools could celebrate Independence Day on Aug 14.
