ATTOCK, July 18: Four persons allegedly killed one of their rivals in Khalry village, while a girl was kidnapped in Anuwal village, the Fatehjang police said on Wednesday. The deceased, Taj Mohammad, along with his nephew, Malik Ahsan, was heading towards his house from Majiya village on a motorbike when the accused — Walayat, Liaquat, Fiaz and Abid — travelling in a van intercepted him.

They opened indiscriminate fire on Taj Mohammad, killing him on the spot. The police said the motive behind the murder was some old enmity.

Meanwhile, Basharat Ali told the Fatehjang police that a young man, Noor Mohammad, allegedly developed relations with his sister and later kidnapped her on the pretext of contracting marriage.

FOUR ARRESTED: The Attock City police have arrested two thieves — Sagheer Niaz and Naseer Ahmed — of Mohallah Eidgah and recovered a stolen TV and two pistols from their possession.
