KARACHI: ‘Bandits’ held after shootout

KARACHI, July 18: Three suspected robbers were arrested following a brief shootout in North Nazimabad on Wednesday. Police said three suspects, Shaukat, Ghulam Mustafa and Abdul Rauf, intercepted Qaiser Sultana and her relative Adnan in Block-1. At gunpoint, the bandits snatched cash and valuables from them and attempted to flee.

However, Shahrah-Noor Jehan police reached and challenged the fleeing bandits. Shaukat and Ghulam Mustafa suffered bullet wounds in the exchange of fire. Police arrested them and shifted the injured bandits to hospital.
