Euro gains

LONDON, July 18: The euro struck another record high against the dollar on Wednesday. The euro climbed to an all-time high of $1.3833 at the start of European trading before falling back to $1.3811 later in the day, up from $1.3781 in New York late on Tuesday.

On the London Bullion Market, the price of gold edged up to $666.75 per ounce, from $666.50 late on Tuesday.—AFP
