Seven human traffickers arrested

GUJRANWALA, July 17: The federal investigation agency (FIA) claimed on Tuesday to have arrested seven human smugglers after day-long raids at their houses and recovered several passports and other documents from their possession.

This was stated by FIA additional director Husain Asghar during a briefing at his office.

On receiving information, he said, a team, led by operation in-charge inspector Mian Sabir, conducted raids at Kharian, Lalamusa, Wazirabad and Qila Dedar Singh and arrested the accused. They have been identified as Haroon Rashid, brother of human trafficker Memon Steno, Tauseef Anjum, Hafiz Shahbaz, Mukhtar Ahmad alias Mitho, Afzal, Irshad Ahmad and Muhammad Adnan.
