Tribunal to look into blast


PESHAWAR, July 17: The government of the NWFP has appointed a high-level inquiry tribunal to probe into the suicide bomb blast which took place at the police lines in D.I. Khan on July 15 during selection of police recruits.

The inquiry team comprises Wadud Shah, DIG (Investigations) for Peshawar, and Mohammad Fahim Wazir, Additional Secretary (Fata), Government of the NWFP.

The inquiry tribunal has been directed to find details of the incident, security arrangements at the police lines, lapses if any, and those responsible.

The tribunal has been asked to initiate proceedings immediately and to submit a report to the provincial government within seven days.—APP
