LONDON, July 17: To mark 60 years of Pakistan’s independence, a festival is being organised in London on July 28, comprising a parade and a style and sound show. According to a press release issued by the High Commission, the first ever open air Pakistan Festival to be held in the heart of London, at Trafalgar Square, will celebrate the country’s independence and salute the contributions of British Pakistanis.

In partnership with a Pakistani TV channel, the event will start with a parade originating at Hyde Park and making its way via Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Pall Mall East to Trafalgar Square.
