KARACHI, July 17: Normal shipping activity was witnessed at the port where three ships carrying containers and diesel oil were accommodated on berths at QICT and Fotco oil terminal, respectively, during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release.

Meanwhile, another container ship arrived at the outer anchorage of the port.

Berth occupancy remained at 50 per cent on Monday where six ships occupied berths to load, unload containers, cement, diesel oil and iron ore, respectively, during the report period.

The port handled 83,838 tons of cargo comprising 60,421 tons of imports and 23,417 tons of export cargo inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,522 Teus.Two ships Frontier Express and MSC Dymphha sailed out to the sea during the period under review.
