LAHORE, July 14: Four-year-old bay filly Noor who was beaten in her last outing will be going all out to make amends during the day/night Lahore Summer Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Noor succumbed under heavy weight pressure carrying nine stones two pounds in the handicap and was beaten by Charismatic (8-8) on the soft track which suited the colt taking a flying start.

Now Noor is carrying 8-12 against Charismatic handicapped at 9-2 in weight scales. This gives 12 pounds reverse advantage to Noor to make up the four-length defeat.

Gelding Zanjeer who ran off the board that day carrying 9-9 has been dropped by five pounds and placed 9-4 getting one pound advantage against Noor on handicap.

There is another speedy colt which ran in the same company three months ago and finished fifth. He has been dropped considerably in the handicap but his absence from the track for such a long period is somewhat doubtful.

The Coca Cola Summer Cup, a class-IV and III combined handicap event, will be the sixth race of the day out of seven.

Three-year-old filly Bold Act, who registered a facile victory last week, will be on the track to make it two in a row. She is contesting in the seventh and last race, the Jhelum Plate Class-V Division-I, to be gone over 900 metres.

Her close rivals will be Richey Dancer and Simbi.

Four-year-old filly Sapna who was an easy winner last week will be on the course to register second successive victory in the fifth race, the Jhelum Plate Class-V Division-II, to be contested over 900 metres.

Billoo The Great, Safe And Sound and Rana Choice should fight for the frame in this event.

Gulf Line, Gold Bird and Shah Pari are the pick of the field for the fourth race, Kharian Plate Class-VII Division-I, to be run over 800 metres.

The filly, Gulf Line, was placed third behind Born To Win and Ikon on April 29 and if she produces the similar form, she should have no difficulty in winning the race.

In the third race, the Kharian Plate Class-VII Division-II, Stride To Moment has bright chances of coming out triumphant. Bone Crusher will try to win a place.

The first two races are composed of horses drawn from the lower divisions of class VII. The results of such events are often surprising for many race spectators.

In the opener, Miss Mano, Mahima and Usman Prince are the prominent runners on the basis of their previous performances.

Chesnut filly Miss Mano has a better chance as she was beaten by Mosaic last Sunday by only a length margin.

Tosca, Dashing Paradise, Nawa-i-Sehar and High Quality attract attention in the second race because of being faster animals than the other ten drawn for the contest.

The first race will be held at 5pm.
