SAHIWAL, July 14: A former Zakat and Ushr chairman was gunned down by his rivals in a mosque at Chak 103/7-R on Saturday. Reports said that deceased Abdul Aziz and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz)’s Harappa leader Ghulam Hussain had an enmity.
On Saturday, Ghulam Hussain’s accomplices Yasin, Abid Hussain and others reportedly came to the mosque and opened fire on Aziz when he was busy in ablution. He died on the spot.
Harappa police have registered a murder case against the accused and arrested one of them, Abid Hussain. — Correspondent
