ISLAMABAD, July 14: Leader of the House in the Senate Wasim Sajjad has underlined economic and trade ties with Brazil saying that Pakistan values its relations with the South American country.

He expressed these views while talking to Gustavo Siqueira, Charge d’Affaires of Brazil in Pakistan, who called on him here on Saturday.

During the meeting, wide range of subjects pertaining to the promotion of bilateral commercial and trade ties came under discussion, says a press release.

Mr Sajjad urged the business community of both countries to come forward and benefit from the investment friendly policies being offered by the respective governments.

He underscored the need for exchange of delegations at different levels particularly at parliamentary, students and business level to promote bilateral ties.

Senator Sajjad informed Mr Gustavo about the working and performance of the upper house of the Pakistani Parliament on the occasion.

Mr Gustavo agreed with the observation of Mr Sajjad and said that Pakistan was playing a commendable role in the region, and both countries shared identical views on various issues of international significance.
