QUETTA, July 14: The Balochistan Secretariat Officers and Staff Coordination Council has demanded that former provincial minister, Sardar Abdur Rehman Khetran, be arrested for his alleged involvement in manhandling of population and welfare secretary Anis Ahmed Gola.

Addressing a press conference at the press club on Saturday, Haji Ata Mohammad Kakar and Dr Gahoor Baloch said that the former minister along with some armed men went to the secretary’s office and manhandled him.

They said that the employees would not tolerate insult of any colleague. They said it was the government’s responsibility to protect honour and dignity of its employees.

The said that a case had been lodged against the assailants with the Civil Lines police station but they had not been arrested.
