KARACHI, July 14: Berthing activity was slow as only two container ships were accommodated berths at the QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

In the meantime, another ship to load cement also arrived at the outer anchorage. Five ships, CSAV Ningbo, CMA CGM Rose, Eastern Tera, Sinar Agra, Grigoroussa-I and Capt. George-L, were busy in loading and unloading containers, chemicals, furnace oil, and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 101,736 tons comprising 64,846 tons of import and 36,890 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Sinar Agra, Eastern Tera, Sariska, Grigoroussa and Capt. George-L left the port while CSAV Nigbo was due to depart.
