Baitul Maal official suspended

NAWABSHAH, July 13: DCO Nawabshah has asked the Director to suspend the in-charge Baitul Maal and conduct an inquiry against him because of complaints of misbehaviour and blackmailing.

In a letter to the Director, Baitul Maal, Sindh, the DCO Abdul Razzaq Qureshi said he had received complaints of misbehaviour and blackmailing from beneficiaries against the district in-charge Baitul Maal Nawabshah, Humair Dahar.

He further stated of conducting an enquiry through the DDO Revenue, Nawabshah who reported the in-charge of obtaining passbooks illegally from beneficiaries and extorting money and bribe from the poor people openly.

The attitude of the official in question was objectionable he said and asked to remove him from the important assignment of Baitul Maal for tarnishing its image and of district administration.

The DCO recommended immediate removal and disciplinary action against the in-charge.
