KARACHI, July 13: Five ships carrying containers chemicals and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday. Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Sariska, Al-Mariyah, Pacheco, Lugano, Eastern Tera, Sinar Agra, Grigoroussa-I and Capt. Georgel, were busy in loading and unloading containers, chemicals, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 87,995 tons comprising 71,573 tons of import and 16,422 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Pacheco, Lugano, Sariska and Al Mariyan left the port while Sinar Agra and Eastern Tera were due to depart.
