Protest against shortage of water

NAWABSHAH, July 11: Growers of Sujawal minor staged protest demonstrations outside the Irrigation Office and local press club against the shortage of water on Wednesday.

Protesters were carrying placards and raised slogans against irrigation officials.

Growers including Shaukat Ali Rind, Deedar Rind and others said the irrigation officials were creating artificial shortage and supplying water to influenced landlords after taking bribe.

They said their crops were being destroyed and lands getting barren due to water shortage.

Demo: Residents of Allah Bux Kubar village staged demonstration against power failure outside the Hesco Office Qazi Ahmed, on Wednesday.

Protesters were carrying placards and raised slogans against Hesco.

The UC Councillor, Abdul Salam Kubar and Sarwar Kubar told reporters that their village had no electricity due to a fault in transformer since last eight days.
