Shabo Star CC win opener

KARACHI, July 10: Shabo Star CC of Quetta scored a convincing seven-wicket win over Okara Gymkhana of Multan in the opening match of the PCB National Inter-club cricket tournament at the PCB Academy Ground here on Tuesday.

Put into bat, Okara Gymkhana were bundled out for just 88 in 34.3 overs with Mumtaz Ali the only batsman to get into double figures. He scored 39 off 40 balls with three sixes and two fours.

Medium-pacer Aurangzeb claimed four for 23 in 10 overs. His fellow left-arm new ball partner Jamil Ahmed gave only 11 runs in his 10-over spell and took one wicket. Slow left-armer Mohammad Taqi snared two for two in three overs.

Shabo Star CC raced to victory in 15.4 overs with opener Abdul Rehman striking four fours and two sixes in making a 43-ball 33.
