Four die of heatstroke

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 10: Four people died of heatstroke in Tharushah town and four others, including a child, were killed in separate incidents in different parts of the town on Tuesday.

The four were identified as Sikandar Ali Sehto, 60, Asif Rajput, 32, Tariq Khanzada, 48, and Prof Ms Basaruddin Soomro, 62.

Nizamuddin Vistro, 30, and Dilshad Rajput, 28, suffered serious injuries when a car ran into their motorcycle on the National Highway near Kandiaro. Nizamuddin died on the spot and Dilshad died on his way to hospital.

Police arrested the car owner, Raza Hussain Shah of Kot Bungalow and impounded the vehicles. The bodies were taken to their native villages.

Eight-year-old Dilshad died after the wall of his house fell on him in Dheeran, while Munir Ahmed Memon was electrocuted in Naushahro Feroze town.

HUNGER STRIKE: A large number of the members of general public supported by different political parties continued token hunger strike on the eighth consecutive day on Tuesday seeking removal of encroachments from government high school ground.
