KABUL, July 9: A Pakistani man was reunited on Monday with his teenage son, who said he had come to Afghanistan to carry out a suicide attack, before members of the media at the headquarters of the secret services here.
An emotional Matiullah hugged his 14-year-old son, Rafiqullah, and told reporters he did not know the boy had joined the Taliban until he was captured in the eastern Afghan province of Khost in May.
He said the teenager had gone missing from his seminary in Waziristan area and he had tracked him down to Khost.
