NAB warning over Quetta schemes

By Inamullah Khattak

ISLAMABAD, July 9: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has warned the public against investing in 10 housing schemes in and around Quetta which have been declared illegal by the Quetta Development Authority (QDA).

The warning has been issued in view of the QDA’s announcement that these schemes had not obtained the mandatory no-objection certificates (NOCs).

The housing schemes include Shandar Housing Scheme, Mumtaz Bungalows, Momiat Apartments, Seven Star Bungalows, Khanzada Villas, Sky Villas, Ahmed Arcade, Al-Khair Housing Scheme, Al-Rohan City Phase I and II and Aimal Khan Housing Scheme.

The people have been advised not to be tempted by publicity campaigns of these schemes in the print and electronic media. The NAB has advised the would-be investors to first confirm NOCs issued by the regulatory authority concerned.

The people have also been urged to know the exact location of the housing scheme.
