Reports said complainant Dr Shaukat Husain Khan had moved the consumer court against the USC, stating that its sugar and `daal’ packets were short of weight. He told the court that the corporation was charging full amount of articles but was not giving full quantity to consunmers.
The USC pleaded that the petition of the complainant was time-barred but special judge Sohail Akram rejected its plea and asked the corporation to appear before the court on July 11.
