KARACHI: IJT demands arrest of leader’s killers


KARACHI, July 9: The Islami Jamiat-i-Talaba staged a protest demonstration for the early arrest of killers of the Muttahida Talaba Mahaz Karachi president and IJT leader Wasif Aziz’ outside the Karachi Press Club on Monday.

The protesters were carrying placards inscribed with slogans including `Arrest killers of Wasif Aziz’, and `Dismiss the governor and the home adviser’. They also raised anti-government slogans and demanded arrest of the assassins.

Speaking to protesters, IJT nazim of central zone Samiullah Hussaini said target killings had adversely affected the city of lights and colours. He said no step had been taken to arrest the terrorists responsible for the killing of patriotic citizens. He warned that students would besiege governmental offices if killers of Wasif Aziz were not arrested soon.—PPI
