KARACHI, July 9: The Sindh National Front, headed by Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, on Monday dissociated itself from the Anti-Greater Thal Canal Committee and the Sindh Bachao Action Committee.

An announcement to this effect was made by SNF General-Secretary Gul Mohammad Jakhrani, who said his party could not be a part of any alliance or attend any meeting where the Pakistan People’s Party was present. He said the SNF believed that the PPP leadership was betraying the people of Sindh and promoting its own interests.

Mr Jakhrani was of the view that that an understanding was being evolved to form an alliance comprising the PPP, PML-Q and the MQM, claiming that a formal announcement could be expected in due course of time.
