MIRPURKHAS, July 8: A man axed his sister to death and seriously injured a man on Saturday suspicions they were involved in illicit affair in the Laldin village of Kunri taluka.
Reports reaching here said that Prem Kolhi alias Pumyo attacked his sister, Leela Kolhi, 18, with an axe in their house and then went to his next-door neighbour, Gulab Kolhi, and injured him before escaping.
Ms Leela died after struggling for life for some time while Gulab Kolhi was rushed to taluka hospital where he was provided first aid and then referred to Hyderabad due to his precarious condition.
Leela’s body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem at the Umerkot Civil Hospital.
Police arrested Prem Kolhi with the murder weapon after a case had been filed against him.
