LAHORE, July 7: Four-year-old colt, Hallow Dancer, has an edge over his rivals to win the feature event during the 10th day/night Lahore Summer Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.The Sialkot Plate, a class V division I handicap race to be gone over the sprinting distance of 1100m featuring a six-event card has a dozen acceptors barring last-minute withdrawals.

A progeny of Easy Dancer out-of-Rachna, Hallow Dancer had been placed third twice and second once in his three previous outings and is knocking at the victory door. Among his eleven rivals, the notable are: dark-bay filly Jung Frau, bay horse Run And Win and bay mare Royal Destiny. On form and handicap Hallow Dancer looks better than Jung Frau. The distance too suits more to the former. This will be the last race of the day.

The supporting and fifth race, Sialkot Plate class V division II over 1100m has two top performers in Perfect Promise and Houstan among the eighteen strong field. Both have won convincingly on Sunday last. The handicap favours light-weight Houstan to make it two in-a-row.

Remember You and Princess Afaq should fight for the third place.

Three-year-old filly, Bold Act, seems a cut above in class vis-à-vis herseventeen rivals in the fourth race, a class VII division I event over 900 metres.The field is packed with moderate runners. The way , the bay filly from Mansai out-of- Avita, Bold Act ran third behind Handsome Hope and Zaoq on April 15 last, she has only to produce a similar run to pick up the spoils. The event may end in a stiff contest for the second and third places because of the presence of plenty of form runners in the field.

Sapna, Pretty Princess and Al Ain are the pick of thirteen acceptors for the third race, a class VII division II handicap event over 900 metres. Pretty Princess had won a race Sunday last. Sapna was leading in a race won by Houstan last Sunday but stumbled and fell down due to the folly of her riders M. Hussain, who twice looked behind causing a check to his mount. What was the need to see back when his mount was leading?

Dogar Gift, Black King, My Shanga and Sheero Khan (formerly Hard Choice) look good among the thirteen runners in the second race. The first three are regular runners and often appearing on the board while Sheero Khan will be on the track after a long absence from racing. They should decide about the winner.

Prema Dona was beaten to second place on last outing and should make amends and win this time the opener. Mosaic and Golden Queen are capable of making Prema Dona's task some what difficult.

In all, 83 runners have accepted for the six races. First four events will be held over 900 metres while the remaining two will be contested over 1100 metres. The first will be held at 5.30pm.
