Two youths commit suicide

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 7: Two youths committed suicide in separate incidents in Kandiaro taluka on Saturday. Altaf Ahmed Dasti 26, resident of Khair Mohammad Dasti village ended his life by consuming pesticide in his house due to domestic problems.

In another incident, Zahid Ali Vighio 20, resident of Qasim Vighio village shot himself dead. The motive behind the move was said to be a discord between the boy and his parents.

The bodies were taken to Kandiaro taluka hospital and handed over to relatives after post-mortem.

Token hunger strike continues

The citizens, UC nazims and old students of government Madressa and high school Naushahro Feroze continued their hunger strike on sixth consecutive day on Saturday outside local press club against encroachment on school ground.

They included Naib Nazim UC Dr Abdul Qadir Memon, UC Nazim Phul, Hayat Phul, Naib Nazim UC Phul, Anwar Khoso, PPP leader Syed Ghous Ali Shah, PML-N district president, Manzoor Mughal, Sindh Sagar Party's Yousuf Mangi, Ashfaq Ahmed Tagar, Sindhi Adabi Sangat's Mazhar Khaskheli and others.

Protesters complained that the district administration had given additional charge of mukhtiarkar Kandiaro to mukhtiarkar Mehrabpur, who had allegedly managed fake form-II in the name of his relative for encroached portion of school ground.
