ISLAMABAD, July 5: A woman constable of the Islamabad Traffic Police, who foiled the escape bid of burqa-clad Maulana Abdul Aziz from Lal Masjid, was awarded commendation certificates and cash reward on Thursday.
Women constables, Sumera Batool, Samina Khalid, Naheed Mukhtar, Samina Munawar, Shazia Perveen, Yasmeen and Anila Altaf, were deployed in civil dresses for frisking the surrendering female students of Jamia Hafsa during the Lal Masjid operation.
SSP Traffic recommended their names for reward and commendation.—APP
