Adil slams goal in extra time

LAHORE, July 5: An extra-time goal by Adil helped defending champions Punjab Reds enter the semi-final of the national U-15 football championship, beating Crown Club, Khanewal at Government High School, Khanewal on Thursday.

After being drawn 0-0 at the end of regulation time, the all-important goal came in the 13th minute of extra-time.

In another quarter-final, Punjab Greens outplayed Wohaib Club, Lahore 2-0 to make it to the last four.

M. Sufian (19th minute) and Shahid Zameer (55th minute) were the scorers for the winners.

In the third quarter-final, Sindh Reds will take on Chaman's Afghan Club while Northern Areas will face Balochistan in fourth quarter-final.
