MIRPURKHAS: Teachers continue hunger strike

By Our Correspondent

MIRPURKHAS, July 5: The teachers appointed in 1998 continued their token hunger strike outside the press club on Thursday demanding reinstatement of those 25 per cent who were deprived of their rights.

Protesters including Manzoor Mahar, Mohammad Safar, Syed Ismail Shah, Abdul Jabbar Rahimoon and others told reporters that 75 per cent teachers were reinstated on the directives of Sindh High Court while 25 per cent were still waiting for their postings.

They deplored the chief minister for not fulfilling his promise of reinstatement. They urged the authorities to end discrimination and issue posting orders.
