HYDERABAD, July 5: The Pakistan Peoples Party observed black day in many districts of Sindh to mark the ouster of Prime Minister Z. A. Bhutto by the military dictator Ziaul Haq on July 5, 1977.

In Hyderabad, the PPP activists staged a rally from the District Council to Hyderabad Press Club where they staged a sit-in on the road. They carried black flags and wore black armbands.

Speaking on the occasion, party MPA Zahid Ali Bhurgari, Syed Fayaz Ali Shah, Amanullah Siyal and Ms Sanam Talpur criticised Ziaul Haq for toppling the elected government of late Z.A. Bhutto and later executing him to save his own skin.

They pledged to continue the struggle for restoration of democracy and supremacy of judiciary.

Our Naushahro Feroze correspondent adds: PPP activists took out a rally from Bandhi Road to Moro Press Club to observe July 5, as black day.
