KARACHI: Over 1,700 gastroenteritis cases reported
KARACHI, July 5: The Sindh Health Department has confirmed that a total of 1,719 new cases of gastroenteritis were reported at various health care facilities in different parts of the province on Thursday.
Focal person of the department’s Emergency Operation Centre Dr Shakil Mallick told APP that 303 of the patients had to be admitted because of their comparatively serious condition.
Dr Mallick said that the public sector hospitals in Karachi received 753 patients and 58 of them were admitted.—APP
