Centre provides Rs450m

ISLAMABAD, July 4: The federal government has so far provided Rs450 million to Sindh, Balochistan and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) for accelerating relief activities in the flood-affected areas.

Speaking at a briefing, National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lt-Gen (rertd) Farooq Ahmed Khan said that Rs200 million had been given to each Sindh and Balochistan and Rs50 million to Fata.

He said there was no bar on non-governmental organisations to operate in the flood-affected areas.
