Robbers on the rampage

LAHORE, July 4: Two armed men deprived a relative of a senior police officer of Rs350,000 in cash in Defence on Wednesday.

Ikramul Haq, the brother-in-law of SSP (special branch) Aamir Zulfikar, was on his way after withdrawing cash from a bank at Ghora Chowk when two motorcyclists snatched it from him.

Two robbers snatched Rs1.6 million from Ali Dar in Gulshan Ravi.

Three armed men, riding a car, stopped a man near Khiaban-i-Iqbal on Walton Road and snatched Rs250,000 in cash from him.

Two robbers looted Rs250,000 from Mrs Jameel at Cavalry Ground in South Cantonment.

As many robbers snatched Rs95,000 in cash and a cell phone from Shahbaz in Defence.

Two gun-toting men took away cash and valuables from a house in W-Block, Defence, while as many armed men snatched Rs42,000 and a cell phone from Imran in Shadbagh.

A passer-by was deprived of cash, a cell phone and a wristwatch by two robbers at Khokhar Chowk in Kot Lakhpat.

Two armed men robbed Rohi Majid of cash and gold bangles in Iqbal Town, while as many robbers snatched Rs21,000 in cash and motorcycle from a man on Mohni Road.

Two gun-toting men deprived a citizen of Rs10,000, a cell phone and motorcycle in Mughalpura.

STOLEN: A car was lifted from Kalima Chowk while two motorcycles were stolen from Shalimar and six from Garden Town, South Cantt, Gulberg, Civil Lines, Lower Mall and Shadman.
