KARACHI: Six bodies found in drains

KARACHI, July 2: Six bodies were recovered from storm-water drains on Monday.

Police suspect that the victims had somehow fallen in the drains during the downpour on Saturday.

The body of Muhammad Ashraf, 25, was recovered from a drain in Musharraf Colony.

In Garden, Akhtar, 18, was found dead in a storm-water drain close to Pakistan Quarters. Police recovered the body and shifted it to hospital. The deceased was a resident of Khamosh Colony.

An unidentified body was found from a watercourse near Mubarak Village.

In Gadani, two unidentified bodies were recovered. Police shifted the bodies to an Edhi morgue in Karachi.

In New Karachi area, police recovered an unidentified body from a storm-water drain near Shafeeq More.
