KARACHI, July 2: Sindh Minister for Local Government, Katchi Abadis and Spatial Development, Muhammad Hussain Khan, has ordered removal of encroachments from storm-water drains.
During his visit to rain-hit areas of Taisar Town, New Karachi, North Karachi, Surjani and Gadap, he asked the Town Municipal Officers to take steps for cleaning of drains, removal of rainwater from roads, filling of ditches and fumigation drive. He also asked the town nazims to constitute committees at union council level to have an updated data of loss to lives and properties.—PPI
