Trains late as usual

LAHORE, July 1: Widespread rains in Sindh continued to affect rail traffic as trains arrived late at the Lahore railway station by three to 10 hours on Sunday.

Shalamar Express scheduled to arrive in Lahore at 1:30am reached here at 11:35am while Sindh Express arrived at 9:50pm instead of 12:30pm.

Karachi Express arrived at 7pm instead of its scheduled time of 11:30am, Awam Express at 2:10pm instead of 7:45am, Karakorum Express at 1:15pm instead of 8:30am, Quetta Express at 2:40pm instead of 11:30am, Jinnah Express at 9pm instead of 3:40pm and Allama Iqbal Express at 9pm instead of 10:45am.

Tezgam and Khyber Mail could not reach Lahore till the filing of the report as the former was to arrive in Lahore at 1:40pm and the latter at 9:20pm.
