KARACHI, June 30: Bowlers held sway over batsmen as 14 wickets fell on the opening day of the two-day Hyderabad region final of the PCB Inter-district Under-19 Cricket Championship at the Sindh University Ground in Jamshoro on Saturday.

Electing to bat first, Shikarpur were shot out for 123 in 65 overs with slow left-armer Sajid Ali doing the damage with figures of six for 28 in 25 overs. The only batsman to shine was Ghulam Ishaq, who scored a 40-ball 36 while batting at No 8.

Dadu, in reply, found themselves in heaps of trouble at 49 for four at draw of stumps.

Summarised scores:

SHIKARPUR 123 in 65 overs (Ghulam Ishaq 36; Sajid Ali 6-28, Tanvir Ahmed 2-33); DADU 49-4 in 32.3 overs (Mohammad Mureed 2-9).
